Meet Andrea

I am an artist who works in multi-mediums and dabbles in photography occasionally. I live in tropical Northern Australia and draw my inspiration from the ordinariness of living creatures. I have a particular love of wildlife which you will see in many mediums and pieces. When I am not working or studying, you can find me being creative with whichever medium my mood inspires, always with my critic Karma – recent rescue cat who has purfected getting in the way and stealing paint brushes, and side-kicks Mowgli and Shanti – tenterfield terriers and avid advocates of snack-sharing.

Karma

Meet Karma – a black rescue in foster care from 2 weeks old until I found her at 8 months. She spends her life plagued by two questions: “Human where are you?” and “Human what are you doing now?” – asked repeatedly, loudly, and always while being enthusiastically involved in where I am and what I am doing! She is a faithful shadow and master conversationalist who has a thing for paper towel. She is a bigger snack burglar than the dogs, and has inspired a cute little series of digital drawings using a few of the millions of photos we have of her and is an instagram Goddess @karmacatness.

Meet the Snack Burglars

I can’t imagine a life without sharing it with dogs. Shanti (left) and Mowgli (right) are a pair of Tenterfield Terriers. Personality plus, these two besties are my besties and ridiculously clever, funny and photogenic. One day they will each grace canvases, but in the meantime I have been privileged to complete a number of other doggy portraits for their Humans. I have completed a small selection of digital drawings with my own photographs again.

Bob is a Jack Russell and a fabulous little subject to photograph for my digital ink collection.

Spud – the small, wirey family-man – looks like a party-boi – is in fact a Mummy’s-boi.
